Michael Jackson's children stole the show at Monday night's Grammy awards when they accepted their father's lifetime achievement award.

The recluse children have been largely out of the public eye. Yet, young Paris, Prince Michael, and Prince Michael II (aka, "Blanket"), have lived in some of the world's most lavish homes.

Michael Jackson's last place of residence was a rental home in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles which he rented for $100,000 a month.

To understand the full story of the privilege enjoyed by Paris Jackson and her brothers it is important to see the in a modest home Jackson shared with his family in Gary, Indiana...

The Jackson Family's ascent in the music world is well-documented. Humble beginnings gave way to ever-larger successes, and, by extension, ever-larger homes.

Contrast the exterior of Jackson's first home....

.... and his last:

But Michael Jackson's most famous abode was his Neverland estate. He purchased the land near Santa Yenez, California, in 1988. The construction cost for the home in 1989 was $17 million.

Among other things it boasted 16 amusement park rides, a menagerie, and movie theater. A staff of 40 security guards manned the property.

Neverland (below)was the first home Paris, Prince Michael, and Blanket ever knew.

The children reportedly lead a nomadic life after excessive debts drove Michael Jackson from Neverland. Jackson reportedly defaulted on a $24.5 million loan meant to save Neverland in 2008. The compound's future remains unclear.

Jackson and his children rented the Holmby Hills mansion in Los Angeles prior to his death last year. Photos of the OTT French Chateau interior design can be found here. After his unexpected death last year the children moved in with their paternal grandparents.

It's difficult to guess where the Jackson offspring might live next.

Currently, Paris, Prince Michael I and Prince Michael II are living in an undisclosed location in Encino, California. Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, was seen recently purchasing sleeping bags and children's toys.

MJ will always be remembered for all the good he has given the world. It is now time to let him RIP. All these people that are now coming out with "oh did you know or did you hear" things should be ashamed of their self and so should his father. You turned your back on michael when he needed you the most and now your trying to make money on him after his death. He didn't leave you anything in his will so you don't deserve anything. Its too late let it go.....

My heart still aches when I think about Michael being gone.
I still can't understand how there can be a World without
Michael Jackson in it, It just doesn't seem right....

It is very painful because as far back as I can remember their has always been Michael. When I was very little Michael was already here with his brothers singing and bringing such happiness to everyone, not to mention the pride that they brought to the Black Community.

I remember feeling a sense of pride before I even knew what pride was. But, I guess God loved you so much, that he was ready for you to come home. Who am I to question God?

Rest in peace sweet Michael, we will miss you forever...

Please let Michaels Kids be kids.Lets not push them to grow fast, become adults confusing their tiny little hearts, with our magnifying glasses, passing judgements from our cozy corners, not knowing, that we actually are cornering their souls forever. The saddest part is, we no longer, care, when they feel so lonely, confused, sufffocated, desperate, as, by then, we are busy building our lives, selfishly, shamelessly. So those who wish to go near Michaels kids, please think again, as we took Michaels life, not very long ago. We all make mistakes, we all are here to make each other stand upright,by listening not condemning blindly.

In my opinion there's a lot to say here about MIchael. I love him very very much. I try to communicate with his spirit every night because I love him and im sure that he loves all of us. He's a wonderful warm hearted man. I believe that he died sooner not only because of the overuse of propfol that his doctor gave him but the media. That destroyed him there hedlins said "Popstar or Pervert" that right there brings you down they talked about his nose and listen nobody's perfect so what's the point. He was out spoken. FOr example, how he called TOmmy MOttola a racist and how sony kills music. HEy, ya wanna mess with me ima mess with ya to. SO yeah I love michael jackson he is my husband he will be dearly missed by his friends fans and family. I love you MIchael I need you to believe me I truly honestly love you.

I can only hope that Michael realized how much he was loved and is love.I also love; admire and adore Michael. It really breaks and pains my heart to read all these disrespectful comments that are directed at some one,who has been nothing but kind, generous and giving of his time so freely. Why do persons persist in writing such negative things about such a wonderful human being? These comments are wearing thin. Please people Michael have three beautiful kids. Think about them. What if these were your children? Michael have done nothing and I repeat NOTHING to deserve this injustice.RIP ANGEL GOD IS NOT SLEEPING
