It's hard to search for practical homes in Los Angeles when you keep coming across stunning properties like this dream house. How can I resist this beachfront Pacific Palisades 3-bedroom, 4.5 bath home with Hollywood Royalty as a former owner. It's got everything you could want in L.A. And did you see the pool?! Yeah, I want this house.

Douglas Fairbanks called this 3-bedroom, 4.5 bath pad home back in the day, and now it can be yours for $7.9 million. Located on the famed gold coast of Santa Monica, this home has lush gardens all around, an AMAZING pool (see photo below) and the beach just beyond. The house has almost 4,000 square feet and dramatic detail inside. So it has more than just dramatic grounds.

The formal living room, dining room and indoor/outdoor living space make this home the perfect place to entertain. But feel free to open all the French doors and go from the patio to the house if you just want to spend a leisurely day at home all by yourself (perhaps imagining all the great times that happened at this famed estate?) The rooms flow from one to the other and overlook the pool and ocean so you are assured to enjoy the literally million-dollar views from all around the home.

The upstairs master suite has large baths, a deck and a fire pit (!) As if that's not enough, the spacious details throughout like arches in the living room, hardwood floors and high ceilings give this house unique touches befitting a 1922 estate.

Walking distance to shops and restaurants and the famed Santa Monica stairs you can leave your estate without having to drive on the Pacific Coast Highway. But really, who wants to leave this house?
