Mel Gibson, who last year split from his wife Robyn after nearly 30 years of marriage and seven kids, is selling one of his Malibu homes for $14.5 million, reports Monsters and Critics.

The recently remodeled home, located at 23333 Palm Canyon Lane, has 6 bedrooms and 6 baths. The estate also features a tennis court, a swimming pool, three guest houses, two offices, a detached gym and a garden cabana with a game room, not to mention fruit orchards and organic gardens (it's not called Lavender Hill Farm for nothing!) You can check out the house, which is listed with Chris Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, at RealEstate.com.

Gibson, 54, bought the 5,403-square-foot home in 1993 (See our slideshow of this home at the end of the article). It's only one of several Malibu homes and other properties that the Braveheart star owns, but it is the one that he and his wife raised their family in and called home.

It is believed that estranged-wife Robyn remains at the 2.57-acre compound after filing for divorce in 2009, while Gibson moved into a new purchase with the mother of his eighth child, Russian pianist and fiancé Oksana Grigorieva, reported the New York Daily News.

The couple's new abode? The former Malibu home of David Duchovny and Téa Leoni, which he bought for $11.5 million in 2008, reported the Huffington Post. The ocean-view home, which had been listed for $12 million, is in a guard-gated neighborhood a few miles north of the Carbon Canyon. It has six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a gym, a library, an office, an elevator, a lagoon pool and a cabana. It also features a gourmet kitchen, a bar and a wine cellar.

Gibson owns another home near Agoura Hills, where a construction worker committed suicide, E-online reported. He purchased that 8.98-acre property at 2401 Sierra Creek Road in the Cornell area of Los Angeles in June 2004 for $1,750,000, according to Berg Properties.

Gibson's also been selling assets. The actor recently unloaded a 5,322-square-foot oceanfront Malibu home at 31430 Broad Beach Road in Malibu, which his Millicent Trust had purchased in 2005 for $22,673,226, according to Berg Properties. And he sold an adjacent vacant lot to the same buyer for $5 million.

His Greenwich, CT tudor, first put on the market in the summer of 2007 for $39.5 million, according to Luxist, is proving a harder sell. Gibson dropped the price on the 15,800-square-foot mansion to $35 million in September 2008, and pared it again to $29.75 million late last year. Sitting on 77 acres, the Old Mill Farm has 15 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms.

Gibson also has several overseas properties, including a cattle ranch in Costa Rica, according to news accounts.

I was thinking the exact same thing! Hopefully nobody buys it and may he sit with an empty house to match his empty heart.

Wow how gorgeous!! It's almost as gorgeous as Mel! Any chance you'd let a single mom of 2 amazing teenagers live there until you sell it? :) Just thought I'd take a chance and ask. If so please e-mail me at Rockchick0x0@aol.com. xoxoxooxxooxox

These all appear to be nice homes, but a large house that requires a staff is not as important as the location of it. California is right on top of the San Andreas earthquake fault, Hawaii is in the center of a volcanic quake zone, Costa Rica, well, not English speaking. These are only about 3 or 4 places on earth worthy of building a home. Where is that ? Sorry, even billionaies like Warren Buffet don't live there....Alfred-

beautifull house---terribly decorated. Obviously he has no taste or style. Who cares how many expensive homes one owns, when they are ugly.

So much money, so little architecture with most of those in Hollywood. Lots of money but not very rich...

A man I always admired. Will never watch another movie of his. He is nothing as far as I am concerned. I think he should be ashamed for what he has done to his wife and children.

This man is a racist. If I had the money, I'd give him double, if he left the USA and never made another movie in his life. I pray when he meets his maker, he makes ammends to all the people he has hurt, and shocked.

Geesh!! that was painful to look at. For that kind of money you'd think they would get a decorator just to sell the house. Shame on the Realtor who let this be released looking so shameful.

As a Jewish woman, I echo the sentiments of some of the previous commentators. Gibson exemplifies the depths to which a human being can descend. Worst of all, in a dazzling display of ignorance and stupidity, he has used what he believes to be his devotion to his faith to justify his hatred of Jews. It is a false devotion, which dishonors the G-d he worships by ignoring the incontrovertible truth that Jesus was born a Jew, of a Jewish mother and father, lived as a Jew and died a Jew. I hope he is saddled with these properties and many other miseries, but doubt that he will engage in any introspection or meaningful change as a result. His mind is closed and filled with hatred and ignorance - he is only getting back what he has put out in the world. As they say in the vernacular: "What goes around, comes around". If he is in a bad way, he is merely getting but a mere taste of what Jews have had to suffer through the millennia. It brings me no sorrow nor sympathy. He is living in a hell of his own creation. He may try to claw his way out, but it will be to no avail. As a side note, I have always believed he is a vastly overrated actor who has achieved fame based more on his looks than his talent.

Mel isn't a racist, there is one simple explanation for his anger toward the jewish commuunity. Hollywood studio execs are predominately jewish, known fact and I offer no explanation for why but when Mel did "The Passion" the studio heads would not produce or help finance it. So Mel used his own money and never forgave them. It made over 800 million worldwide and you didn't have to be a catholic or protestant christian to appreciate that wonderful film. The cristicisim he received from Hollywood was over the top, totally unjustified, since it was a worldwide success. Of course when you have 800 million catholics in the world and hundreds of million more christians Hollywood big shots were furious with that much success for a film that they felt portrayed them negatively. Well Mel laughed all the way to the bank and showed them he didn't need their money to make money. Too bad though he fell off that pedestal of morality he placed himself on, its hard to get back on it.

The thing that gets me is that he was supposedly a good Catholic, never cheating on his wife, building a chapel on the grounds of his "compound", being so, well, Mel-like in his actions, and then he goes and gets a girlfriend, gets her pregnant out of wedlock, and BOOM!, his behavior is supposed to be O.K? Such an upstanding representative of a Catholic.......
I believe that celebrities should have a private life, but when they, themselves, make certain areas in their private lives a public thing, then how can they not be looked upon as liars?
