This will not change the Search History settings within the Windows 8 Bing Application. Search history WILL persist across any/all instances of your Windows 8 Bing application and also to the web experience (Bing.com), but search history SETTINGS will not persist between the application and the web experience
If I select 1 at a time and delete it works. This is a basic function for any program. If I select the "Browsing" tab - this works as expected. I select All Time and click Select All and in a few moments it's all deleted but Search history remains defective. Please provide a fix.

A solution which worked for me (Windows 10): 1) Type Clear Bing in the bottom left box of screen (Cortana box) 2) Click Clear Bing History Completly ( blue box above) 3) On web, Bing- Search History click Search History "you're about to delete etc." 4) On resulting page Clear Your History click YES.

I have tried this on my end and I can reproduce the problem. It seems Bing has an issue revalidating login to clear search history. I would suggest submitting a feedback to Bing from the Bing.com home page. Click on the the three bars in the top-right corner, click on Feedback and complete the feedback form.
Just wondering why I was getting random searches in my search history in Bing, specifically those from the shopping category of searches that I didn't search up. What I've noticed is that there's a correlation between the searches that I've made and the random searches from the shopping category that appeared.
Please check if your "See search suggestions as you type" is checked on your search settings on Bing. Go to Bing homepage> Click on the three bars in the upper right corner of the page> Click settings> Click More in the drop-down menu> Locate the Search Suggestions > If it was unchecked, please check it > Click save.
So, if your in iOS you can tap the search back and view your recent search history. If your in PC here are some things you can do. 1) Delete the app and reinstall it. 2) Report the problem to Microsoft. 3) use Bing.com ( if you do T want to you can use Microsoft start) I hope this helps your problem. Created on March 24, 2021. I would like my personal information removed from bing search. I am wanting you to remove my personal information from Bing search engine. When I searched my name, it listed all my personal information such as where I live, former spouse etc. This is too personal of information for all the world out there to see.
Replied on March 15, 2013. Report abuse. one temporary solution I've found is to go to your tools, internet options, delete, cookies and website data and make sure it is checked when deleting. However, I'm really not sure if this is the total solution. And, these should be mutually exclusive, meaning the Bing Search "turn off history" function ...
