To save directions/places, click the My Places icon to open your places. In the left pane, click New list, and then add information about your list and save it. For any search result that’s listed in the left pane, click Save to add it your places. You can also save pushpins that you add or an object that you draw on the map.

In Google Maps, you simply click the little white circle to get rid of it. I can't figure out how to do that in Bing Maps. Hi GPS Pilot, I don't know a way to do it in the map but in the route panel on the left you can hit the down arrow beside the predicted time and select the added point or points that were modified by clicking "remove".
Just tried Google Maps and it did exactly what I needed, just the map and directions without any ads or search results. Unfortunately I'm trying not to use Google so this problem still isn't solved. Report abuse
