WhatsApp Web is a browser-based client that allows you to use WhatsApp on your computer without downloading or installing any additional software. To use WhatsApp Web, you simply need to visit the WhatsApp Web website on your browser, scan a QR code with your phone, and you'll be logged into your WhatsApp account on your computer.
Here's my workaround for using whatsapp on multiple devices with KaiOS. I bought a second sim with a second phone number (no subscription, just with funds) and added this in a Android device and have this phone laying at home. Now I can type a message with Whatsapp Web for that phone and send that to the number of my KaiOS.
There are reports "whatsapp web" is incompatible with recent iOS versions. Only its developer can fix that: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support. To make sure you are using the latest Safari version, update iOS. To learn how to do that please read Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.
After working with FreeChat the application hasn't been updated in a while and it's buggy. The best solution is to open Whatsapp web in Google Chrome. Then go to the 3 dot menu -> Save and Share -> Install Whatsapp Web. This saves the Whatsapp web as an individual application that will have its own dock icon and work exactly as the old Whatsapp.
Reinstalled Whatsapp, both on desktop and mobile. Tried to manually delete the files in my PC too, but Whatsapp only offers the Microsoft Store version one, there's no longer a direct download option. Besides, since it's a WinStore app, the files seems to be protected and I can't delete/access them manually.
If I close the tab and open it again, I'm logged in. If I close Chrome, I reopen it and open a tab with Whatsapp web, I'm logged out and the QR code doesn't have the "Stay Signed In" box below. I tried to log in on Edge and it works even after closing Edge, I still don't get the "Stay Signed In" option but I don't get logged out of Whatsapp web.
If I'll be honest, i don't know lol. Personally, if i check "clear offline website data" in the settings, it will log me out of whatsapp web, and it should so the same to you. You probably set WhatsApp web as an exception so the data isn't being cleared, so make sure whatsapp web isn't an exception.
Just wanted to share praise. The new WhatsApp app is natively built for Windows PCs and functions so well. The interface is fast and fluid, and matches the design of Windows. It's a joy to use. Combine that with the new ability that you can use WhatsApp on PCs without needing a data connection on the mobile app, and we've got ourselves a winner.
With the new Whatsapp Mac/PC app now this is the behavior, while it work on the old version or on the Web version. Hope they will revert to old behavior. THe only workaround for now is to send file using the web not the installed app.
Hm, I noticed that this happens a lot (one tick on whatsapp web, two on mobile) with on context where the both conditions apply: - I'm not so close to the person; - The person has their read receipts disabled. I know these people haven't blocked me, as I can still see their pics (+ the two ticks on mobile).
