I have the same or similar problem. Shared links from My Maps work OK in a web browser or in my iPad (it first opens Drive and then shows the map in Maps), but not in my iPhone. On the other hand shared links from Maps (the same map as shared from My Maps) opens Maps and shows the map fine on my iPhone.

My issue is with weather maps that use google maps. My location for the local weather is always a location I visited long ago. I cannot find how to fix it. I save my local weather settings, but a cookie or something has told it to always open to this old location, regardless of what I do in maps.google.com
