In 2021, the department's traffic surveys showed that on average, 68,359 vehicles used the highway daily south of 14 Mile Road in Royal Oak and 15,909 vehicles did so each day in north of Chicago Boulevard in Detroit, the highest and lowest counts along the highway, respectively. M-59 is an east–west state trunkline highway that crosses the northern part of Metropolitan Detroit in the US state of Michigan.It runs between Howell at Interstate 96 (I-96) and I-94 on the Chesterfield–Harrison township line near the Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

William Henry Rand (May 2, 1828 – June 20, 1915) was an American printer and co-founder of the Rand McNally publishing company. He was born in Quincy, Massachusetts , and as a young man was an apprentice at his brothers' print shop in Boston .
In the US, a Basic Trading Area is a geographic region defined originally in the Rand McNally Commercial Atlas and Marketing Guide and used by the FCC where a Personal Communications Service can operate. [1] It consists of the counties surrounding a city designated as the basic trading center. [2]
