    I tested the traffic feature in incognito mode and in regular mode. Traffic is not working either way. My travel time keeps coming up in black and white despite the fact that I have connectivity and Maps identifies the best route and tracks my progress. By the way I tested the Waze app and it does show me all the traffic backups.
