The only way I can get it to launch is by going to task manager and finding whatsapp in the background processes, and then selecting it and clicking end task. After this, double-clicking the whatsapp shortcut launches whatsapp. Issue resolved with the App update with 2.2043.22.0.

Hi Hania, I appreciate your response, but unfortunately, the problem is not solved after reinstalling WhatsApp. Moreover, the "Keep Me Signed in" box is not visible on the page where the barcode is scanned. Each time I launch the App after exiting, it still requires a login by scanning the barcode.
