I am trying to add my Yahoo email account to the Windows 10 mail app. I go into 'Manage Accounts' and click the 'Add Account' option. I receive the pop up window to add account. I select 'Yahoo!'. The 'Connecting to a service' window opens - showing the Yahoo! sign in window. I enter my user name and click NEXT.

Independent Advisor. Replied on July 12, 2018. Report abuse. Depends on the browser. So for example Chrome go to your Yahoo mail. Then click the More Tools - Create shortcut. This will put it on your desktop then you can drag it to your taskbar. And then if delete from desktop that extra shortcut if you dont' want it.
Return to your main Yahoo folder and click on these newly pinned correctly named folders one by one, and hit the Sync icon at the top of the column. (A pair of inverted circular arrows icon). Hi I was having the same issue and this is what got my yahoo account working with windows 11. Settings-Apps-Installed Apps-Mail & Calendar advanced options-Scroll down and terminate the running processes. As soon as I re-opened the mail app all my yahoo emails starting downloading from the server. Hope this helps someone.
