Conneaut Lake / ˈ k ɒ n i ˌ ɔː t / is a borough in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, located at the southern end of the lake of the same name. The population was 625 at the 2020 census, [ 4 ] down from 653 at the 2010 census.
Geography. Conneaut Township is in western Crawford County, bordered to the west by Ashtabula County, Ohio. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 41.7 square miles (107.9 km 2 ), of which 40.9 square miles (105.9 km 2) is land and 0.77 square miles (2.0 km 2 ), or 1.88%, is water. The Conneaut Lakeshore CDP surrounds Conneaut Lake, the largest natural lake wholly in Pennsylvania. It is located in northwestern Pennsylvania at 41°37′31″N 80°17′52″W (41.625296, -80.297706), [ 4] in western Crawford County. The CDP consists of all development around the lake except for the borough of Conneaut Lake at the southern end.

Beyond the landing, the canal turned northwest and flowed into the lake. Engineering on these projects included raising the Conneaut Lake dam by 11 feet (3.4 m) and adding another short canal to carry water to a pumping station for the Beaver and Erie. The French Creek Feeder was completed to Meadville in 1828 and reached Conneaut Lake in 1834. [4]
